Surreal Tutorial Review

I found a photoshop surreal landscape tutorial written by Jenny Le called "A funny surreal Underground Scene with Adobe Photoshop", and I decided to make it and post it here on this blog post.

The tutorial covers up a lot of steps, especially the adding of adjustments to each layer. The instructions are easy to follow, and pictures are provided with clear text for each step. A thing to consider about making this psd is the picture assets that are provided to make the product. The assets provided at the beginning of the tutorial requires an account to download, and so I used another, similar picture. It is not defined whether the tutorial is suitable for a beginner, intermediate or a advanced user, but I would recommend it for intermediates. I learned a lot of new skills from this tutorial, especially adjusting layers to evaluate details. I would suggest to follow the instructions given, and maybe modify by adding new objects to the psd using the same adjustment techniques, and also making it to a gif or video. I modified mine by making it to a gif.

Take to consideration that some of the assets shown in the picture above requires an account to download.

Modify into gif using timeline

So my overall evaluation for this tutorial is to follow instructions throughly and not skip any of them. Each step is clear and easy to understand for intermediate users. Do not skip any of the adjustments since it will affect the overall product.

Animated .gif

My Animated .gif

My first efforts in developing my own animated .gif was coming up with a rocket surprise ending. The techniques applied was all taught by my graphic design teacher and the story I created is about an alien that just came to earth from outer space.

Rocket Surprise Ending

KeyClub Animated gif.

My school themed gif I chose was Key Club
I decided on this school theme because I am a member of this club and I think that this club can be a blessing and can help other people. I discovered that KeyClub is important for the society and that more people joining the club will benefit the society.

My animated gif message was to inform and educate people that Key Club is a beneficial, useful, and fun club to join and be a part of.

I believe the intended audience, like students who are interested in making an impact to the society, will respond to my animation because the animation clearly informs the audience what Key Club does and the advantages that Key Club can give.

I sent the gif to the teacher in charge of this club, Ms, Misawa, but have not receive a response from her.

What I would do differently with my next project would be making better projects with better results in terms of creativity and detail of work.

A mystery girl is seen in Taylor Swift's twitter account this afternoon. The new post shows Taylor posing with the New York view and with a mystery girl she so called as "best friends" as shown in her post caption "A Sunny Day. A Best Friend. And New York." Taylor has never told the public about this friend of hers, but the two friends are believed to have met during their high school years. "She's my high school best friend, her name is Felisha", Taylor said in an interview "She's now living in New York".

Vision for Success

Vision Board

This is what I've planned for my future, created using Photoshop and my determination to make it happen

I've chosen the images in the vision board, because it shows a clear picture to what I'm planning for my future. After graduating from high school, I plan to go to college and take a business major as shown in the top left-hand corner of the vision board. I might go to University of California Riverside  or University of California LA. I also plan to go on a vacation to Europe, Venice especially, because I'm curious to what a floating city might look like.
